The Clearview
RSV test is intended for the rapid, qualitative detection
of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) directly from nasopharyngeal
swab, and nasal aspirate specimens in children less than 6 years
and adults over the age of 60. RSV is the major cause of
serious lower respiratory disease, including bronchiolitis and
pneumonia. Early diagnosis of RSV infection allows treatment
to:
- Shorten course of illness
- Reduce severity of symptoms
- Reduce likelihood of complications
- Decrease morbidity in high-risk young children
- Reduce the spread to others.

How to use the
Clearview RSV test
Step 1
Extract the sample using the reagent and extraction tube
provided.
Step 2
Draw entire contents of the extraction tube up into a clean
disposable pipette and squeeze it all onto the sample well of the
test device.
Step 3
Read the results between 15 and 25 minutes.
