Can I use Clearview Simplify D-dimer as a
stand alone test?
Clinical diagnosis must not be
based on the result of the Clearview Simplify D-dimer test
alone. The full clinical context of the patient should be
included when making a diagnostic decision, taking into account the
clinical signs and other relevant information such as the Wells
pre-test probability score or equivalent.
Can I report
a positive result before 10 minutes??
Only a positive result may be reported before the 10 minutes
providing that the procedural control line is present.
However a negative result cannot be reported before 10 minutes.
No Control line
appeared what does this mean?
The test has not run
correctly. This may occur if the pouch has been opened for
too long prior to the test being carried out. It could also
be a consequence of adding insufficient or excess sample/buffer to
the test. The test result is void and must be repeated.
The Test line
is fainter than the control line, is this a positive
result?
Yes. The appearance of a line in the test zone (T) regardless
of its intensity must, in the presence of a Control line, be
recorded as a positive result.
