Clearview Simplify D-dimer
It is estimated that only 20-30% of patients suspected actually
have Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and therefore many diagnostic
imaging tests are a waste of time and money. Diagnosing Venous
Thromboembolism (VTE) on clinical signs and symptoms alone is not
accurate. Clearview Simplify D-dimer features a
high Negative Predictive Value (NPV) for safe exclusion of Venous
Thromboembolism (VTE).
Clearview Simplify
D-dimer is a rapid diagnostic test for the qualitative
detection of D-dimer in human whole blood (capillary or venous) and
plasma, for use as an aid in the assessment and evaluation of
patients with suspected Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation
(DIC), Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT), and Pulmonary Embolism (PE).
When used in conjunction
with a validated pre-test probability score and diagnostic
algorithm, e.g. Wells, Clearview Simplify D-dimer
can be used to safely rule out VTE in low or moderate risk
patients.
The advanced technology of
Clearview Simplify D-dimer enables fast decisions
for effective patient management and ease of use reduces the need
for instrumentation and specialised training.

How to use the Clearview Simplify
D-dimer test
Step 1

1 drop of whole blood (35μl,
using venous pipette provided or finger-prick sample using
capillary pipette provided) or 20μl plasma (using laboratory
pipette not supplied in kit)..
Step 2

2 drops of buffer.
Important - Hold buffer
bottle vertically and apply free-falling drops.
Step 3
